We want to help you keep Baby healthy and happy, so below is some additional information we think you’ll find useful.

  • One way to help prevent diaper rash is to occasionally rinse baby’s bottom with warm water between diaper changes
  • Wash your hands before and after changing diapers to prevent spreading germs that could cause infections
  • Starting new foods can change the content and frequency of a baby’s poop, which can lead to a diaper rash

  • Tight-fitting diapers can cause diaper rash as they retain more moisture
  • Babies can get a rash after switching to a new type of diaper – so purchase diapers free of dyes or fragrances
  • Change diapers frequently – every 2 hours or so – and give baby more time without a diaper during the day

  • Some common chemicals found in fabric softeners, detergents, baby lotions, fragrances, and soaps can be very irritating to the skin and should be avoided
  • Don’t scrub your baby’s bottom – whether you’re washing, drying, or wiping, be very careful about applying too much pressure to your baby’s bottom
  • Skip using scented baby wipes that may contain fragrance – opt for alcohol free brands

  • How do you identify diaper rash?

Diaper rash is marked by red, tender-looking skin in the diaper region — buttocks, thighs and genitals. You may notice your baby seems more uncomfortable than usual, especially during diaper changes. A baby with a diaper rash often fusses or cries when the diaper area is washed or touched

  • How long will diaper rash last?

Diaper rashes typically last just a few days, and the rash may come back repeatedly. If the rash persists after this time period, it is recommended to contact your pediatrician.

  • What if the rash doesn’t improve?

If your baby’s skin doesn’t improve after a few days of home treatment, talk with your doctor. Sometimes, you’ll need a prescription medication to treat diaper rash.

Stop use of diaper rash cream and see a doctor if:

    • The condition worsens
    • Symptoms last more than 7 days
    • Symptoms clear up and occur within a few days
    • The rash bleeds, itches or oozes
    • Is accompanied by a fever
  • Is Triple Paste safe enough to use every day?

Yes. Although Triple Paste was formulated to treat stubborn, problem diaper rash, it is very gentle and can be used on a daily basis in order to prevent diaper rash from occurring in the first place.

  • What sizes is Triple Paste available in?

For your convenience, Triple Paste is available for purchase in 2 oz. tubes, 3 oz. (Target exclusive size), 8oz., 10 oz. (Target exclusive size), and 16 oz. sizes.

  • Can Triple Paste be used on diaper rash when open sores are present?

Yes. Triple Paste’s premium, gentle, and soothing formula is designed to fight even the most difficult cases of diaper rash. If your baby’s diaper rash does not improve, contact your pediatrician.

  • How much Triple Paste should I use in one application?

The amount of Triple Paste for a single application depends on the size of the affected area. Because Triple Paste is safe, gentle, and non-irritating, apply it liberally so that there is a visible layer completely covering your baby’s diaper rash. If you are changing your baby before bedtime, or if there will be additional time between diaper changes, apply an extra-thick layer to allow its barrier formula to block out moisture and irritants from causing further pain and discomfort.

  • Does Triple Paste require a prescription?

No. Triple Paste is an over-the-counter product and can be found in the baby care sections of most major retailers.
